Are you all happy with the MacIntyre hire?
Not really but I realize it's the best we could have done at this point. If Mac 2.0 doesn't have us respectable in 3 years, Bohn should resign.
Yes, although as I previously posted, Hawk ruined my expectations for a coach moving from a non-BCS level to CU. I really like this guy on paper and what I've seen, but man, I need to see some proof in the pudding before I can be optimistic about anyone.
My opinion will be mostly based on his staff.
Not especially, but after seeing CU get out hustled, muscled and schemed for 7 years what the hell. His last two teams would kick CU's ass, so that's got to count for something.
Kind of funny and true......

Any head coach from a D1 football program last year, was an upgrade over Embree. ANY ONE of the 120 something coaches. Seriously. Be happy
YES! I haev like dthis guy a lot since watching them beat a Sonny Dykes coached team Thanksgiving weekend. Well coached, play with passion, smart team.
I wonder how many of those that do not like him have actually watched his team play, OR completely checked hsi resume.
Yes, I'm really excited. Other than Mullen I've been honed in on this guy since early in the process. I've said it before, but I believe he's a great fit personality wise, lots of ties to high school coaches in CA (he made it a goal to have his staff and himself personally shake hands with every high school coach in CA) and he transformed a football team from being terrible to one that truly believed they were going to beat Stanford on the road and were disappointed not to do so. I also think that if he's successful and we support him here the way they are talking about he could stay here for a considerable length of time and end the rapid turnover we've experienced.
6 WINS or BUST!
I've managed to "Lower my expectations." Thanks GB, Hawk, Embo.
I am, but want to see what his staff will look like. Someone else seems to like the idea as well.

The more I hear the more excited I get! Hear the passing attack was 9th in the nation! There we go! #MacAttack
I think you guys have hit a home run with this hire. I know Jones was high on your list, and wasting all that time while getting played was annoying.
However, Mike's schemes and philosophies are a good fit for the culture of Boulder and Colorado football. No gimmicks needed. He will have you guys lining up to grind it out and pound opponents for four quarters. Within three years your lines will be deeper and better. And you won't be wondering whether or not a pro-style or spread offense would work better.
Now I hope you guys can renovate and upgrade facilities as success comes your way.
Fides Quaerens Intellectum
Not the greatest candidate but definitely an upgrade over cry baby Embree....good luck Buffs
I think my original list went like this.....
The top 3 were unrealistic given the state of the program. I think we saw what kind of guy Jones turned out to be. So Mac is not far from the top of the list for me. I hope he gets the support he needs to try to fix this mess.
“Every man knows he is a sissy compared to Johnny Cash"-Bono.
wanted Mullen but like McIntyre
Yes, I am pleased with this hire. Seems well qualified, adequately experienced, strong lineage of coaches he's coached under and good on field results. I am also pleased to see we didn't break the bank on this hire, though not a bargain either.
My hope is that a facilities upgrade announcement will be made in tandem with this hire. That would solidify the hire and give CMM a running head start into recruiting.
Yes i m happy considering CUs current situation. Hope McIntyre brings his S&C coach with him
I'm happy. He was my top non-BCS head coach. I know he's not a splash but I think Coach Mac could be a blessing in disguise.
No doubt this is a HUGE upgrade from the JE/EB regime. May not be who everyone was hoping for, but for the first time in a long time the Buffs have a real football HC.
Let the healing begin.
Let the rebuilding FINALLY begin.
Long Live Ralphie.
HCMM has more experience that Tawkins and JE/EB put together.
I'm ok with it but not all that excited. While I like that he is dialed in to CA, has done a turn around, and has some good background in both NFL and College football he is most definetly not a big name to excite recruits all that much. Feels like we are paying big bucks and could have spent more for the right candidate for an up and comer. Oh well we are a hot mess but have $. I think whoever comes here and turns around leaves within 3-4 years given the track record of coaches the past decade.
Hmm I disagree with the "whoever turns it around will leave in the 3 years" notion. When things are going good at CU it's a destination job.
Time will tell. I think he's kinda oafy but that's first thoughts off his press conferences. We've had splash hires (fail), we've had homer hires (fail), and now we're going to have 3rd, or 4th, or 5th option hires. Let's give him a chance to do somethings. The ultimate bonus is that Bohn has a rope tied to his leg with this hire so while i want to see us win in a big way, if we don't...................... both of these guys will be getting tossed overboard. Hopefully we win.
